Why do it?

Who starts a business 4 weeks before a pandemic!  So we stopped as quickly as we started having just begun.  But, I love a challenge, so its onward and upwards & time to get moving.

As of June 1st, I had 172 people following the progress on my Facebook page, Nic's Gluten Free Bakes.  One little post on Wednesday afternoon & the world& my phone blew up!!  Likes had doubled and some by Friday morning.  The phone hadn't stopped pinging on the store searches, and calls galore, "do you deliver, do you post".  So I must be doing something right.  And the answer to both those questions is "Yes".  The majority of  my bakes can be posted by Royal Mail first class or other.  So whether you are at the other end of the country or nearby, you can get hold of some great cake within no time.

We bake only gluten free using 'no may contains'.  It started off baking just for my daughter as she has coeliacs.  You can read about the journey in the bio 'About Nic's GF Bakes'.  You should note that I am registered with the local council and have insurance.  Those are two of the first questions you should always ask prior to purchasing from any home food provider on Facebook/Instagram etc!  If they aren't, why not?  Do they have records stating their cleaning processes & records of fridge temperatures etc?  Do you ask?  If they don't, how do you know that you are going to be safe?  Does your provider via any avenue that sells online from home have that in place?
